Booking a room

  • 30 days, encouraging in-home community and a slower pace of exploration.

  • Currently, there’s no maximum.

  • We have an option to request a room as a couple or a group.

    If booking as an individual, visitors are OK for a short period of time (up to 5 days) as long as the rest of your housemates are happy with it.

Your stay

  • Desks in rooms, cowork area, spots to take calls quietly, fast WiFi.

  • Yes, simple rules to adhere to local regulations and protect the community. These are available to read at the point of booking.

  • Yes.

    In our Shared homes, your towels and bed linen will be changed every second week.

  • In our Shared homes, professional cleans will take place on a weekly basis.

    In our Solo homes, professional cleans are available upon request, at cost price.

  • Loads of it. Cutlery, utensils, cleaning supplies etc.

  • Yes, everything you’d need to live a ‘normal’ life.

  • For some homes. Reach out to enquire about the parking info for your specific home.

  • Yes, each room has a private lock.

  • Yes, but we may not be able to forward your post to your next address so do so with caution.

The community

  • Others who have bought into the Yon philosophy and are there for the same reason as you. We’ll introduce you to everyone you’ll meet before you arrive.

  • We don’t take instant, anonymous, bookings. Everyone has a chat with us where we sense-check motivations for staying and respect for the community.

  • Don’t be silly, of course not. Check our community page for a few examples of our previous guests.

Payment terms & cancellations

  • Payment for the first period (one month) of your stay is due in full to secure your booking.

    Follow-on payments for bookings longer than one month can be paid in regular monthly instalments. Each instalment is due 28 days before the next period begins. Failure to pay the invoice within 24 hours of it being issued will result in an automatic cancellation with your room immediately becoming bookable for another guest.

  • SHARED HOMES

    For a full refund, you have 24 hours to cancel after your booking regardless of the time between booking and check-in date.

    Beyond the initial 24 hour period you can cancel for a full refund with, at most, 30 days remaining before your check-in date. Within 30 days of check-in, no refunds will be given in the event of a cancellation.

    If you are unhappy with the home and wish to move out, you must notify Yon within 7 days of arrival to receive a full refund for the remainder of your booking.


    SOLO HOMES

    For a full refund, you have 24 hours to cancel after your booking regardless of the time between booking and check-in date.

    Beyond the initial 24 hour period you can cancel for a full refund with, at least, 30 days remaining before your check-in date. Within 30 days of check-in, no refunds will be given in the event of a cancellation.

  • If there are any issues in home and you’d like to leave, please get in touch ASAP and we can find a solution.

    If you are staying in a Shared Home and unhappy or wish to move out, you can notify Yon within 7 days of arrival to receive a full refund for the remainder of your booking.

  • No, but Yon reserves the right to charge a value up to the total amount of the booking for any damage incurred by you to the room, home or building. It is your responsibility to flag anything that is damaged or faulty in your room when you check-in.
